Never Too Soon

It’s been a long road from my first book The Natural Way to Better Babies - Preconception Healthcare for Prospective Parents, co-authored with Francesca Naish (Random House 1996). Back then Francesca and I ran weekend workshops because the story was very new and we were the only ones on that particular campaign trail. Prospective parents got the benefit of our wisdom for a whole day, then practitioners stayed on for another days to learn how to roll out the program in clinical practice.

We’ve come a long way! Better Babies and its sequels are officially “evergreen titles” but the message that I promote has been simplified and streamlined. In doing that, I’ve hoped to make the preconception program manageable for the mainstream, not just for the hard-core or the infertility desperadoes. Because this program isn’t about solving problems, it’s not just an alternative to IVF, it’s actually for everybody! Therefore, making it do-able no matter how far away your pregnancy, means as many “passive” measures as I can muster. I’ve trialled those passive measures on some prospective parents who are particularly near and dear to my heart. So far it’s all thumbs up! You can try them too - all in my 10-module Better Babies Program for Fertility and Preconception
