As an expert professional interpreter (Mandarin, Russian, English) with a Master of International Business, Igor has over 20 years of hands-on, practical experience in running business operations across different cultural environments including Russia, China and New Zealand. His career began as an officer and interpreter in the headquarters of the USSR Border Guards, positions he held for a decade, while simultaneously providing support for the Far Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a senior consultant with regard to research and trade negotiations with the People's Republic of China. Since immigrating to New Zealand in the 1990s, Igor a co-founder of the WhiteStar Group, has held  various senior positions globally and is currently Managing Director with the New Zealand Car Canterbury Ltd - a company engaged in global vehicle trade. He is fluent in Russian, Chinese and English, has excellent analytical and negotiation skills and experience in facilitating projects for various international companies across several sectors, including lumber, food services, oil and gas prospecting and renewable energy.
